This weekend I had the pleasure of snapping some shots of little Miss Bella. Here are a few of my favorites:

8 months
Alex Marie is 8 months old today. She has 7 teeth, and what looks like 3 more joining soon. She loves to talk saying things like "Mommomom" and "Dadada" and "Mmyaaa." She is extremely close to crawling but loves to stand up tall and straight. She has extremely strong legs. She loves peas, the beach, and her mommy and daddy. She loves to nap on her Tutu Gloria's shoulder while Mom is at work and she really enjoys whacking things with her wild, flailing arms. She also enjoys going on dates with Pooh.... (Mom supervises of course!)

DIY: Curtain Rods
This DIY project was thought up because our new house is covered in windows. We literally have 7 windows in our front room alone! When moving, your money is already spread pretty thin and trying to get some privacy in your new home can be low on your list of things to do. While at the hardware store we realized how expensive a curtain rod can be ($40- just for the rod in the length we needed). So we tried to think up a really cheap and sturdy way to hang our curtains, this is what I came up with:

Wedding Photography
So over the past weekend I got to experiment with wedding photography. I loved capturing moments of the bride pre-ceremony but have come to the conclusion that being a wedding photographer is extremely hard work and I am not sure I really have the eye for much more than portraits. Not to mention the fact that I can't stand the extremely harsh light during the ceremony so I really dont have many of those pictures that I like. Any ways here are a few I enjoy, hope you do too!

Life, love, and a little bit of Aloha
We are enjoying our new house and the space we have to fill. I have so many DIY projects that I have been doing. It is so much harder to get anything done in a timely manner with a little monkey on my shoulder.
This weekend we enjoyed the Sunday Kailua Farmers market. It was still quiet and quaint and I love that! Not only did I really enjoy this farmers market because they really strive to provide vendors that are selling and producing local product but there were Baker Dudes. The "Baker Dudes" had these amazing turnovers, fresh cinnamon rolls, and all sorts of other wonderful fresh baked goods. So fresh they literally rigged up an oven in the bed of their truck!
