This DIY project was thought up because our new house is covered in windows. We literally have 7 windows in our front room alone! When moving, your money is already spread pretty thin and trying to get some privacy in your new home can be low on your list of things to do. While at the hardware store we realized how expensive a curtain rod can be ($40- just for the rod in the length we needed). So we tried to think up a really cheap and sturdy way to hang our curtains, this is what I came up with:
Nikki, you are brilliant!! I need many curtain rods too. I'm going to try this!

Hi Nikki! Aunt Kim here...love the rod idea. How long was your longest
ReplyDeletepiece of pipe and where did you buy it? We made something similar but couldn't find one long piece and had to connect two which was a pain. Your idea is great and looks really nice.
HI Aunt Kim! All of our windows are 9 feet long, the pipes came in 10ft pieces. There is one window in our living room that Dane bent the pipe to give it a round all in one piece look and then we connected another pipe to that with and EMT connecter (like 99 cents) and it just screws on. Thanks!
